Painting exhibition, showing from June 17 – September 30, 2017
I have spent the last twenty-five years creating images in acrylic and watercolour. In that time, my understanding of colour, composition, design principles and materials has grown immensely. Parallel to that knowledge, is my appreciation and recognition of both contemporary and historical artists and image-makers. The images I create are from my everyday life: people , places. The colours and shapes I see in my life here in Hamilton. Primarily, my own work has focused on representational imagery from objects and everyday experiences. However my passion for colour and design is rooted heavily in the work of nonobjective art.
